Our medication management system reminds, dispenses, alerts caregivers before medications are missed. It allows secure online access to documented adherence, perpetual inventory, and other personal health information, connecting patients with healthcare providers, their families, and caregivers.
Product Design:
The TabSafe dispensing device has three components: a base unit, a modular cartridge system, and a personalized health website.
The base unit, which is networked through a standard analog phone line, can be placed in any convenient location within a home, apartment, or care facility. The unit comes with a large, easy-to-read display and keypad, and provides audio and visual notifications.
The cartridge system consists of independent cartridges that are inserted into larger modules. A single module can hold four separate cartridges, and can dispense up to 13 medications per day. The modules are stackable, giving the patient the ability to add cartridge capacity as needed. There are both single medication and multiple medication cartridges.
The health website is a personalized database of medication and other health information for each patient, and provides the status of each cartridge (type of medication, quantity remaining, schedule times and expiration dates), detailed prescription data, and compliance history. All information is securely stored and HIPAA compliant. The website provides a simple and convenient way for caregivers and family members to monitor compliance.

Easy Installation & Daily Use
When a medication is due, an alert reminds the user to press a button which triggers the medication to dispense into a drawer. Medications can be loaded either by a caregiver or pharmacist into four individual or multi-dose cartridges. TabSafe simply plugs into an electrical power outlet and a standard phone line. TabSafe then transmits and downloads the programmed medication schedule and reports allowing for secure online access.
Flexible
TabSafe can accommodate any schedule; regardless of the level of complexity. Based on the patient’s medication regimen, each of the 4 cartridges contain either 16 or 32 easy to fill individual compartments. Specific cartridges can be allocated as “PRN Only” to allow the dispensing of medications on an “as needed” basis and thus eliminating the risk of overdose. Custom visual reminders can also be added for activities of daily living such as “Check Blood Pressure” or “Meal Time”.
Safe and Secure
TabSafe is designed as a secure, locking unit. Each individual medication cartridges remains secure until the TabSafe unit is unlocked for reloading. The dispensing drawer also remains locked until the actual release of the medication occurs. Optional security features include the use of a PIN number to gain access.
